The Joe Rhym Memorial Scholarship

The Cinderblock Foundation's first scholarship is a memorial scholarship named in honor of Joe N. Rhym,
whose hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and respect for
learning embodied the goals set forth by this foundation.
The Cinderblock Foundation awarded its first scholarship in   2005 to Notre Dame High School freshman Saquan Gore, who exemplifies the Foundation's principles of love and respect for others, community involvement, and mentoring.
The Joe Rhym Memorial Scholarship (JRMS) was established to offer financial assistance to urban students in Trenton, New Jersey to attend Notre Dame High School, in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.  The Cinderblock Foundation provides financial support, academic guidance, and mentoring to its scholars.  Urban students in the Trenton area are eligible for the JRMS after they have been notified of their admittance to Notre Dame High School.  Urban students from the Trenton area who would like to apply for the JRMS should contact us at:












Joe N. Rhym died September 17, 2003.  Initial work for the scholarship began in October of 2003.
